These terms cover this website and the early-access list. They do not cover the Embers application, which has its own terms you will be asked to agree to before you can use it.

This site is for adults

Embers is an interactive fiction product intended for people aged 18 and over. By using this site or joining the list you confirm you are at least 18.

Nothing is being sold here

The Embers application is not yet available. Joining the list is not a purchase, a booking or a contract. You are not charged anything, you owe us nothing, and we owe you nothing beyond handling your details as set out in our privacy policy.

Any price shown on this site is what we currently intend to charge when we open. It is indicative and may change before launch. Anything we say about founding-member pricing is an offer we intend to honour, but it is not a binding contract until you actually subscribe under the application's terms.

What is on this site

The written extracts on this site are fictional, produced by TODO_LEGAL_ENTITY, and provided so you can judge the writing before deciding whether you want any of it. All characters are invented. Any resemblance to a real person is coincidental.

The text, artwork, name and branding on this site belong to TODO_LEGAL_ENTITY. You are welcome to read and share links to it. Please do not republish the extracts as your own or use our branding without asking.

Availability

We may change, suspend or withdraw this site at any time. We may also decide not to launch, in which case we will delete the list and tell you we have done so.

Liability

We provide this site as it is. Nothing in these terms excludes any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
